Freelance Audio Work
Everybody Eats: A Movement
Everybody Eats: A Movement is podcast centered around the growing phenomenon of pay-as-you-can cafes. Hosted by Renee Boughman, founder of the F.A.R.M Cafe in Boone, North Carolina, each episode introduces us to a founder, volunteer, or patron of these cafes across the country.
I was brought on to the production team by showrunner Beth Davison as an audio engineer and producer. I sat in on each interview, mixing audio in real time and troubleshooting inevitable technical issues. In post, I sweetened the audio, making sure that even audio recorded off of a zoom guests laptop mic sounded full and easy on the ears. I also composed original incidental music for each episode. You can listen to all currently released episodes here (and wherever you get your podcasts)

Cultural Studies Association: Positions Podcast
The Positions Podcast, developed by the Cultural Studies Association’s open-access, peer-reviewed journal Lateral, reflects on topics in Cultural Studies with scholars in the field.
I was brought on in post production to engineer audio for Season Two, Episode Three “Crip Silences, Crip Futurities, Crip Joy,” where I edited the interview for content and mixed tape, enhancing the fidelity of audio recorded remotely over Zoom. I worked collaboratively with producers Mark Nunes and Elaine Venter to assess the projects needs and work within the shows timeline, incorporating to feedback while meeting deadlines.
I also learned a considerable amount about the lives of those with disabilities, and you can too, by taking a listen here.
