Watching.
‘Watching’ is an incredibly personal and honest film. It takes a look at some of the worst parts of my own psyche and shame and then freezes them permanently for the whole world to see for all time. It was a difficult film to make and it is even more difficult to screen, but I am immensely proud of the film. I am most proud that people who see it feel seen by it in return. I thought for so long that I was battling the issues I depict alone, and seeing peoples reactions to “Watching.” has shown me how true that never was. I hope it continues to make friends and strangers alike feel represented, and I hope it shifts the public’s perception of mental health a little bit in the right direction.
You and I
I met professor Chris Patti in one of the hardest moments of my life. I connected with him over his vulnerability and willingness to discuss his own personal struggles, struggles that echoed in eerily similar ways, reverberating throughout my past. His use of his own struggles as a source of academic intrigue piqued my curiosity and inspired me to take my own work on the interpersonal and vulnerable path I am on now.
I’ve Got Your Back
New beginnings and legacy.
For 2.5 years, my best friend since kindergarten, Trenton Rose, served as NouN Improv’s club president. In that time, NouN completely changed. Now, at the current height of the group’s success, he is stepping away from the team entirely.
At the same time, two new members have joined the team, and their first show is tonight, the night the team takes on the largest audience any of them have ever seen. Watch as new member Maddy Dulin navigates the excitement and resigning NouN president Trenton Rose comes to terms with his legacy and the big changes ahead of him.
